Happy Three Week Birthday!

Hard to believe it has already been three weeks.  Here is Taylor in his favorite gift from our friend Andrea - his first pair of cowboy boots straight from Texas!  He can't wait to be big enough to wear them!

Thank Goodness for Grandmas!

We were grateful to have the grandmas here over the past three weeks.  They were lifesavers - making dinners, cleaning, and most importantly, helping take care of T!  Taylor is so lucky to have such wonderful grandmas!  And on a personal note, I am SO thankful for all of the prayers for my mom that she was healthy enough from her December surgery to come spend time with us...it was wonderful!

Happy Two Week Birthday!

Taylor celebrated lots of milestones this week, including his first trip to the mall, his umbilical cord falling off, getting back to his birth weight, sleeping through the night, and watching his first superbowl!  We had some feeding troubles at the beginning, so we are very happy he's back to his weight!  He's 50% in height, 25% weight, 25% head size...long and lanky like his dad!  Mamaw and his mommy took him for a long excursion to the mall and he did quite well; Mom is happy to report he really likes shopping. :)

After bragging about his sleeping abilities however, he decided to keep mom and dad up all night last night crying.  Nothing could console him.  We gave his a quick lecture and we're sure tonight will go better!

Taylor is one week old!

As you can see, he's really excited about turning one week old today.  He celebrated with a big nap this evening.  Hopefully he'll sleep tonight!

We're Home!

At home, we were greeted with decorations from Mamaw and Grandpa.  Thanks to everyone who has sent us flowers, cookie bouquets, and our neighbors who have brought food!  Our place is so pretty with all of the gorgeous flowers!
We were all wondering how Lily would respond to her little brother.  We can happily report she's doing great!  Every time he cries she looks at us like "Come on guys, help him out!".  However, she still makes sure she gets her spot on Craig's lap.

We did a little photo shoot of Taylor is his "going home from the hospital" outfit.  I think he loved it
It was so wonderful to have Mamaw and Grandpa here to help us out this week.  Grandpa has found the perfect napping partner in Taylor.

Taylor Mickey has arrived!

Taylor Bruce Mickey arrived very early Tuesday morning, January 26th!  Weighing in at 8 lbs 3 oz and 21.25 inches long, the little guy is long-legged like his father!  He's just the cutest baby we've ever seen.  They originally thought he would arrive Monday night - we were happy he waited until Tuesday so we got an extra day at the hospital.  Tuesday was such a blur, it was great to have Wednesday to learn a bit more from the nurses before they released us on our own!

Craig stopped by the gift store Tuesday morning to get Mr. T a sports mobile.  I'm sure we'll have him shooting baskets in a couple weeks.
Mamaw and Grandpa Lindley arrived Monday night.  The hospital was rather strict with visitation, even Mamaw couldn't convince them to let her in before the noon start time on Tuesday.

We left the hospital on Thursday. A little snowstorm came at rush hour that morning, so Craig went home to grab the Explorer with four-wheel drive. You can never be too careful, right?

The Nursey is ready!

The nursery is finally ready!  Can't wait to finally have Baby M sleeping (hopefully!) in it!  As you can see, our theme is owls.  My mom, "Mamaw", the most creative person I know, found the adorable owl fabric and it became our concept.  It has been so much fun as more people have found out our theme, we have owls from all over the country, owl onesies, books, diaper bag tags, you name it!

Mamaw made the beautiful bedding and curtains; I know Baby M will love it!  Grammy (Craig's mom) and Grandpa Eisinger purchased Baby M's gorgeous crib!

Grandpa Lindley refinished the dresser and made the changing table on top.  Note the cute doorknobs purchased on Ebay. The painting has been my project over the break.

We're borrowing my parent's rocking chair that belonged to my mom's mom.  We just refinished the table this weekend, so our last project is finally complete.

Lily has decided her new favorite place to hang out is the green rug.  She always liked hanging out in this room when it was the guest room - she went to get some "alone time" on the guest bed when she was tired of us...teenagers.  Now that the bed is gone, I guess she figures the green rug will have to do.  As you can see, she LOVES the camera.  She poses anytime we break it out.

Just for fun, here she is posing in front of our Christmas tree.

Now all we have to do is sit and wait for Baby M's arrival!  We must admit we've started to get nervous as it's getting closer.  For all your moms and dads out there, you'll probably be hearing from us in the weeks to come with all of our questions!  We made our last trip (at least for now) to Babies R Us, and we've been cooking some extra meals to store in the fridge.  The car seats are installed, the swing assembled.  We've enjoyed quite a few meals out the past couple weeks, knowing that probably won't be something we are doing in the near future.
